Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Yokohama, Kanagawa Pref.; CEO: Koji Nakamura), which is aiming for the social implementation and commercialization of distributed ammonia manufacturing plants, has been selected by the Ministry of the Environment as one of the companies exhibiting at the Japan Pavilion based on the theme of “Solutions to The World,” in conjunction with the 30th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025.

The Conference of the Parties (COP), the world’s largest international conference on climate change, is held every year, with 198 countries participating. Participants include a variety of stakeholders, such as business leaders, academics, and representatives of NGOs, municipalities, international agencies, and governments from around the world, who conduct sessions and events related to diverse themes, and engage in discussions and exchange information on climate change. The first COP was held 30 years ago, in 1995.

This will be Tsubame BHB’s second COP exhibit, following COP28, which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2023. The Japan Pavilion will feature on-site displays of technologies, products, and services that support global responses to climate change and decarbonization, and the realization of “Net Zero in 2050,” which is the long-term goal of climate change countermeasures in Japan. Exhibits will also be shown on the official website.

Tsubame BHB will introduce a project involving recycled low-carbon nitrogen fertilizer made from ammonia synthesized at low temperature and low pressure using plant residue. The company’s low-temperature, low-pressure ammonia synthesis technology supports the manufacture of environment-friendly recycled low carbon nitrogen fertilizer. Using green fertilizer to replace imported urea derived from petrochemical resources, which are currently in use broadly through Brazil, we will contribute dramatically to promoting recycling oriented economy and the decarbonization of fertilizers in Brazil and other countries that are reliant on fertilizer imports, and also to increasing the robustness of fertilizer supply chains.
