Nakamura joined Toyota Tsusho Corporation and was seconded as an engineer of organic materials to material engineering divisions of Toyota Motor Corporation and its coordinating company for ASEAN, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering & Manufacturing Co., Ltd. He contributed to reducing Toyota Motor’s costs by auditing the processes of suppliers and evaluating local materials in the ASEAN and India region, and he led his team in earning a “superior” award from Toyota Global for cost reduction. At Toyota Tsusho Corporation, he established new projects, gained new customers, and traded internationally. In 2017, He joined Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd., a venture capital firm which invested in Tsubame BHB. He joined Tsubame BHB in April 2019 and took up the position of CEO in July 2023.
He graduated from the Applied Chemistry Department at the Nagoya Institute of Technology and completed a program at the Graduate School of Commerce at the Waseda University. He has a master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
1971 Joined Mitsubishi Kasei (Currently Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation) and its Central Research Laboratory. Engaged in catalyst and process development for denitration catalyst, petrochemical, fine chemical production. During this time, he developed various industrialized catalysts and processes. 2011 Participated in the study of ammonia synthesis catalysts using C12A7 digitized compounds in the FIRST program. Engaged in catalyst development support and intellectual property construction from the viewpoint of practical catalysts. From 2011, he became a specially-appointed professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 2013, he was appointed as the project manager of the ACCEL program, managing projects for the practical use of ammonia synthesis catalysts, and at the same time as a specially appointed professor at Tokyo Tech, in charge of development support and intellectual property related to ammonia synthesis catalysts. He assumed his position as CTO of Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd in July 2019 and Executive Fellow since July 2023.

Yamaguchi joined Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. (now Nippon Steel Corporation) in 1977. He was assigned development of corrosion-resistant steel materials at Wakayama Steel Works. In 1989, he changed his career to sales and marketing after joining US-based Raychem Corporation. In 1998, he joined RS Components for starting its Japanese operation. In 2004, he joined Cabot Supermetals as President of Asian operation. In 2007, he joined Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics as Head of Japan operation. In 2014, he joined CxS owned by Carlyle as CEO. In 2018, he joined Advanced Material Technologies, Inc as CEO owned by Universal Materials Incubator, Co. Ltd. (UMI). From January 2024, he is serving as a Partner at UMI. Yamaguchi graduated from University of Tokyo (BE) and Graduate School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MS). He is qualified as Professional Engineer (Metals).
Shimpo joined Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in 1993. He was assigned to the General Affairs Department at the Kawasaki Plant, and was involved in the labor management, recruitment training, and other personnel-related tasks. After being assigned to global sales and marketing for the amino acid business in 1999, he was seconded as the Sales & Marketing Manager to Ajinomoto USA (now Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc.) in 2003 and worked on business operations and developments in the healthcare area. He was reinstated in the Human Resources Department of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in 2008. He worked on developments and incorporations of new bio-related businesses in the Amino Acids Department in 2011. He became the Director of Ajinomoto China and Shanghai Ajinomoto Amino Acids Co., Ltd. in 2012. He was reinstated in the Global Human Resources Department of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in 2016 and worked on the establishment of a global human resources system. He was assigned to the Business Strategy & Planning Department in 2019, he was assigned to the Amino Acids Department. in 2021, he became the General Manager of the AminoScience Division Business Strategy & Planning Department in July 2023, he became the Corporate Executive and the General Manager of the Bio & Fine Chemicals Division Business Strategy & Planning Department from April 2024.
Tago joined Mitsubishi Kasei Corporation (now Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation) in 1976 and was assigned to Production Department 1 at the Mizushima Plant. He was involved in industrializing plants with Mitsubishi Kasei’s new oxo alcohol technology and then was seconded to Ciquine CIA. Petroquimica in Brazil to complete the licensing of the technology. After serving as the general manager of Production Department 1, in 2004, he became a director and the general manager of planning and administration at Dia-Nitrix Co., Ltd. He then became a director and a vice president at Dia-Nitrix in 2008. SPDC Ltd. is a company that was established by a Japanese governmental agency (JICA) and the equity participation of private energy-related companies to establish the petrochemical joint enterprise SHARQ with SABIC, a Saudi Arabian company, and in 2012, he became a managing director in charge of planning and engineering at SPDC Ltd. and a board member at SHARQ. He became an advisor at SPDC Ltd. in 2017.
In January 2022, he became a director at Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd. He completed the Applied Physics program at the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo.
Nakao joined Asahi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (now Asahi Kasei Corp.) in 1978. He was assigned to technology research and worked on the research and development of optical recording materials. He productized optical discs following collaborative development with other companies, and as the one responsible, promoted the development of businesses and the licensing of technology to other countries. In 2000, he was seconded to Asahi Kasei Electronics Co., Ltd. as the head of development for sensor parts and became the president of Asahi Kasei Electronics in 2006. In April 2009, he became a director and an executive officer at Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation. In 2012, he became a lead executive officer and the senior general manager of new businesses development at Asahi Kasei Corp., and in June of that year, he became a director there. He became a senior executive officer and the senior general manager of corporate research and development in 2015. He then became a director and a primary executive officer in June 2016, becoming responsible for the entire technology sector of the company, including research and development, manufacturing, and production technology. He became a representative director and a vice president and executive officer in April 2017. In June 2019, he became an audit & supervisory board member at Asahi Kasei Corp. He completed a program at the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Science and Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
After joining Toyota Tsusho Corp., seconded temporarily to Toyota Motor Corp., and later worked in the startup of new business in the functional materials field, as well as investments in material related venture companies, and support for global rollout. In 2012, he joined The Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (currently INCJ, Ltd.), where he started up a material/chemicals team, and contributed to the planning of UMI, where he was formally named as a partner in April 2016. He took up the position of Outside Director of Tsubame BHB in Nov. 2017 and Audit & Supervisory Board Member in July 2023.
He completed degrees in the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, and the Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering.
Ishida joined Sumitomo Bank (currently Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) in 1996 and worked in the corporate planning department. In 2002, he joined Mobile Internet Capital, Inc. where he engaged in domestic and international start-up investments. After joining a law firm Mori Hamada & Matsumoto in 2011, he handled all aspects of corporate legal affairs, focusing on cases involving M&A, start-ups, venture capital and private equity funds, and since 2020 he became a partner of the firm. In April 2024, he was appointed as an outside corporate auditor of Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd.
