Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd(hereafter Tsubame BHB), Agri Laos Co., Ltd(hereafter Agri Laos) and State Enterprise for Agriculture Service (hereafter SAS) signed on the Letter of Intent on Low Carbon Fertilizer Off-take Agreement on December 16, 2023.

　Tsubame BHB and Agri Laos are developing Green Ammonia and Low Carbon Fertilizer project using hydropower and renewable energy in Lao PDR. SAS is willing to offtake its Low Carbon Fertilizer.

 This project will be the first local production of the chemical fertilizer using local resources available such as water, air, hydropower and renewable energy. Through the project, we aim to contribute to decarbonization of the fertilizer production, substitute the imported fertilizer and improve the agricultural productivity and foreign currency reserve.

This LOI was signed among three parties and witnessed by H.E. Mr. Malaythong COMMASITH, Minister of Industry and Commerce Lao PDR, H.E. Mr. Ken SAITO, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Oudet SOUVANNAVONG President of Lao National Chamber and Commerce, during the ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation Forum, which was held as a side event of the Commemorative Summit for the 50^th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.
