Tsubame BHB joined “Japan-Ukraine Public-Private Roundtable” co-hosted by METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) Japan, MOFA Japan and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) on June 22, 2023. At the roundtable, Ukraine Bucha city, METI, the Polish company Hynfra, the Ukrainian company UTEM and Tsubame BHB compeleted MOU regarding the Green Industrial Zone Project.

The Green Industrial Zone Project targets local production / local consumption systems in which hydrogen and ammonia are produced from renewable energy (e.g. solar and wind power), and are sold for applications such as electric power, fuel, and fertilizer. The project as a whole is expected to encompass a scale of 3,000 ha. The Green Hydrogen Generation project, which will account for 300 ha, will be undertaken first, and will be executed by the Polish company Hynfra and the Ukrainian company UTEM. On this first project, Tsubame BHB will conduct studies on the possibility of ammonia production using its own small ammonia synthesis facilities.
